Founded in 1971 by Roy Albert, Kaskaskia
Tool & Machine is in its second generation of management and has evolved from a
small tool and die shop to a full service machining and fabrication business.
Kaskaskia Tool & Machine utilizes a 35,000 square foot facility serviced by
overhead cranes up to ten (10) ton capacity. Our engineering department has the
latest in CAD/CAM software which can be used to program from customer drawings
and to interface with our various CNC machines, including CNC flame cutting, CNC
wire EDM, CNC turning and a large range of CNC horizontal and vertical mills.
For larger machining we have horizontal mills with up to 96x 134 travel and
vertical lathes up to 72 swing.
We are the largest grinding facility in the
St. Louis area with Blanchard grinding up to 129 swing and surface grinding up
to 42x 159 travel. Our fabrication and welding department works with all
materials including mild steel, stainless, and aluminum and we have a certified
welding inspector on staff.
Our quality department is equipped with a
CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) 30x36x 60 and we are upgrading our
quality system to AS9100 Standard with certification expected in the fall of
2008.
To achieve quick turn around, Kaskaskia Tool
& Machine utilizes a staff of 35 employees working 2 shifts and inventories an
array of mild and alloy steel bars and plates.
